Take a newspaper.
Take a pair of scissors.
Choose an article as long as you are planning to make your poem.
Cut out the article.
Then cut out each of the words that make up this article and put them in a bag.
Shake it gently.
Then take out the scraps one after the other in the order in which they left the bag.
Copy conscientiously.
The poem will be like you.
And here you are a writer, infinitely original and endowed with a sensibility that is charming though beyond the understanding of the vulgar.
Tristan Tzara
I'll do this.

I just made a dadaist poem out of weather columns from my univ. newspaper. Keep in mind these columns aren't very weather oriented.
Monday's forecast:
meteorological study
you may be
i almost want to call
painfully obvious
stationary showers followed
there is star-studded premiere
i witnessed tae-bo
the weathermate tells me
"thunderdome by the sweet return of bright side"
i understand unmistakeable
the way that we pulled out of a lake
an incredible desperation
all i ask for is laughing
damn you
before i thought you were
my only language
i can translate
where darkness lurks on him
"ride of the valkyrie" i said
the climate within the debutante ball
has remained incognito
its like living phenomenon
is that enough?
next to me
you are self-defense elegance
a barrage starts spluttering the same
i remind you of collapsed brewed
weather

No matter what we have come through, or how many perils we have safely passed, or how imperfect and jagged our life has been, we cannot in our heart of hearts imagine how it could have been different. As we look back on it, it slips in behind us in orderly disarray, and, with all its mistakes, acquires a sort of eternal fitness, and even, at times, a poetic glamour.

sorry dwimmy it took so long, but last night, it was done ... and i'm a bit amazed at the results. they're not just random groupings of words - they have meaning. the energy i have at the moment ...
anyways, the source is an article on the onion website titled 'God Angrily Clasifies Don't Kill Rule'. as such, it is a peice concerning WTC. hope i don't offend.
i've also taken the liberty of 'breaking' apart the peoms as well. and i'll show them one page at a time.

priests, imans and biblical scholars
christians, jews and muslims alike
here it is one more time
never again
a reason to kill
betraying visible emotion
a surprise to humankind
longtime stance against
how holy somebody claims
specifically commanded
to the victims of terrorism
longstanding policy
really simple terms
God rarely intervenes
earthly affairs
an unending cycle
I don't care
His divine face
the site of the fallen
o clerics rabbis
His message and divine will
events on earth
no killink
what religion you are
omniscence worshiped by billions
the idea that i want
theologions and laymen
creator-diety
God
do i not
violence
various faiths
for the record
invoked countless times
God angrily clarifies
to be honest
It's My Will
worshipped
sick and tired of it

there's no such thing as a holy war
the overwhelming majority
reject the murderous actions
wondeful pious people
manifest on the material plane
violence carried on in His name
God, called Yahweh and Allah
a matter of faith
simplest possible terms
their actions are justified
how much more clear can i get
dire potential ramifications
shock outrage and sorrow
no room for confusion
misinterpreted My message
doctrinal bullshit
medieval concept
radical extremists
imperfect human agents
~ ~ ~

different religious traditions
would you think I'd want anything else
the basic message is always the same
making this same mistake
a higher standard of behaviour
I don't want you to kill anybody
cultural progress down the drain
hardline, right wing
increasingly wrathful
idiological zealotry
point of believing
God's shoulders began to shake, and he wept
turn the other cheek
how many times
an excuse to kill
that hard a concept
God fell silent

Well.
I truly believe someone else was writing through me last night, helping me to say these words. as to who ?

But I like the inconvenience.
But I don't want comfort.
I want God.
I want poetry.
I want real danger.
Iwant freedom.
I want goodness.
I want sin.
I'm claiming the right to be unhappy.
